The father of Nahshon, who was chief of the tribe of Judah ([Num. 1:7](/num#Num.1.7); [2:3](/num#Num.2.3); [7:12](/num#Num.7.12), [17](/num#Num.7.17); [10:14](/num#Num.10.14)). His daughter Elisheba was married to Aaron ([Ex. 6:23](/exod#Exod.6.23)).
